Playoffs start for Katja and Jessica with Volley Lugano

Greetings from Lugano!

Our regular season has finally finished and we are about to start play offs! The play offs are a little bit different here compared to Finland. If you lose the first round you keep playing for positions 5-8 instead of finishing the season. We will play a best of three series (all series are best of three except for the finals) against NUC Volleyball.

We can play with all we’ve got knowing that we have nothing to lose.

Katja and Jessica enjoying the playoff time.

Our opponent is very familiar to us as we have already played against them four times. Some matches have been very close and we know we can beat them as we have managed to do it before. However all the pressure is on NUC as they have gotten better and better as the season has gone on. They are also in the upcoming Swiss Cup final. We can play with all we’ve got knowing that we have nothing to lose.

We have just over a month left in Lugano and have really been enjoying the hot spring weather. Now it is time to up our game a notch and focus on the ultimate goal: winning every match we start. In the play offs anything and everything is possible.

Forza Lugano!

Jessica and Katja
