Finnish-Canadian attacker Jessica Kosonen will embark on a new championship after her experience in Turkey.
In the upcoming season, Jessica Kosonen will play in the French Ligue A, wearing the jersey of Terville-Florange. The 26-year-old outside hitter, who previously played in the Turkish second division with TED Ankara, is now poised for a thrilling new chapter with the French top-team. She will be accompanied by her fellow Finn, Saana Lindgren, who is transitioning from BIWI VFM in the Swiss league.
Under the guidance of head coach, Romain Pitou, the TFOC finished 6th in the national competition last season. The club’s best result in LAF is a remarkable 4th place from the 2021-2022 season. Their participation in international competitions, such as the CEV Cup, resulted in a respectable 13th place finish.
For Jessica Kosonen, her arrival at TFOC marks her third season playing outside of Finland. She has previously performed at clubs like LP Viesti Salo and Pölkky Kuusamo in her home country. Volley Lugano in Switzerland and Ankara marked her abroad stations.
TFOC’s scouting team has proven its ability to discover talented players. Kosonen’s playing style is characterized by her versatile attacks, precise but powerful serves, and great defensive skills. Undoubtedly, she will be eager to contribute to the teams’ success.
